Can I customize my ADDASPACE?

We have a series of fixed layouts with palettes of interior and exterior styling options that can be selected. This allows us to provide you with a predictable and transparent build process coupled with efficient pricing.  If something more customized is needed, we can work with you to create the space you need.

What is an ADDASPACE built with?

We have several construction techniques and depending on your project, we will select the approach that is most efficient & effective, whilst balancing cost.  Many of our structures are built utilizing light gauge steel and/or Corten Steel (shipping container).  In addition, each structure is finished with high-end interior and exterior finishes.

WHAT SIZE IS AN ADDASPACE?

Sizes will vary depending on your project.  In order to facilitate transportation and delivery, we typically build our structures between 8’ to 12’ wide, and 20’ to 40’ long, although this can be customized to your needs.  If this space isn’t enough – we can also combine and / or stack structures to make larger spaces.  No project is too small or too large!

Is an ADDASPACE insulated?

Every ADDASPACE is built with energy efficiency in mind.  We strive to meet, if not exceed, Energy Code standards for your designated climate zone.  We can insulate walls, floors and ceilings.  The approach ultimately taken will depend on several factors including where you live, the intended use of the structure and whether the space needs to be heated/cooled.  During our complimentary consultation, we will discuss the options with you.

Do I need a Building Permit?

Typically, Yes, however, it does vary from town to town.  At ADDASPACE, we want to take the headache away from Design to Install.  Our service will not only design the space that meets your needs, but we will also coordinate the permitting process if necessary.

How do I pay for my space?

We require a 60% deposit once construction starts.  The remainder of the balance is due prior to your ship date.  We will provide methods of payment directly to our customers.  In addition, if you are interested in financing your ADDASPACE, many of our customers use an existing HELOC.  We also recommend Acorn Finance and LightStream for quick and easy financing solutions.

What about Heating and Cooling?

A popular solution is installing a ductless mini-split wall unit.  We can install this ready for use prior to delivery.  We can also accommodate ducted heating and cooling depending on your needs.

What type of foundation do I need?

This is very much site dependent.  Our Design Service will help determine which solution is best for you.  A favorite of ours is Helical Piles, which promotes efficiency, minimizes land disturbance, and enables potential portability, however, not all properties may be suitable for this approach. We will work with you to determine the best solution.

Do you offer a Warranty?

Our spaces are backed by a 6-month warranty covering structural defects and workmanship.  Additional manufacturer warranties apply to our fixtures and fittings (such as windows, as an example).  We will provide you with a booklet at time of delivery that summarizes all warranty details based on the space you ultimately purchase.
